ℹ️ Important information (public holidays)
When a public holiday falls on a Thursday or Friday, we exceptionally adjust the shipments as well as the validation deadlines.
This information is communicated via the website banner and on the delivery page.
Our frozen products are shipped in insulated boxes to ensure the cold chain is maintained during transport.
Shipment is made via Swiss Post’s Express Lune service, with delivery scheduled for Friday morning before 9am.
Upon receiving the parcel, please place the products in the freezer immediately.
If you are not at home, you can request via your Swiss Post account that the parcel be left in front of your door.
Without instructions from you, the postal worker will only leave a delivery notice and your parcel will need to be collected from the nearest post office. We do not recommend this option, as the cold chain can no longer be guaranteed.
In case of a delivery problem
Any issue (damaged parcel, delay, delivery problem, etc.) must be reported to us immediately, with a photo, so that we can forward the request to the relevant service.
Tracking and delivery options
We recommend registering with Swiss Post’s services to benefit from:
- parcel tracking
- authorization to leave the parcel if you are not at home
You can also download the Swiss Post app (iPhone or Android) to receive tracking notifications directly on your smartphone.
The BARF diet🥩
The transition from processed food (kibble or canned food) to a raw BARF diet must be carried out in a structured way to preserve your pet’s digestive balance and overall comfort.
1. Do not mix different types of food
Processed foods and raw diets have different digestion times and mechanisms. Mixing them in the same meal can lead to digestive upset. It is therefore recommended to make a clear transition, without mixing the two in the same meal.
2. Allow for a fasting period
A fasting period of 12 to 24 hours (for a healthy adult dog) allows the digestive system to prepare before introducing a raw diet.
⚠️ Fasting is not recommended for puppies, kittens, elderly or underweight animals, or animals with medical conditions unless advised by a professional.
3. Introduce one protein source
Start with a single meat source for about 2 weeks. This phase helps to:
- monitor digestive tolerance
- identify any potential sensitivities
- stabilise the gut microbiota
Once digestion is stable (well-formed stools, normal appetite, and no digestive issues), you can gradually introduce a new protein source each week.
4. Choose recipes suited to the transition
For a smooth transition, it is recommended to start with mixes specifically developed for this phase:
These recipes are designed to support digestive adaptation and provide a balanced nutritional foundation from the start.
As each animal is different, the quantity should be adjusted according to changes in weight (gradually reduce the amount if weight increases and gradually increase it if weight decreases).
As a general rule, the recommended amount is 2–3% of your pet’s body weight.
You will find the calculation details here.
For a BARF meal to be considered balanced, it should include: muscle meat, raw meaty bones, organ meats, as well as a portion of fruits and vegetables.
The exact proportions vary depending on the animal (dog or cat), its age, its activity level, and any specific health needs.
In addition, it is important to include at least three different protein sources, including one red meat, to maintain a balanced diet.
You can find the recommended percentages and composition examples on this page.
Yes, BARF is perfectly suitable for puppies, provided the diet is well balanced and adapted to their growth needs
During this key period, nutritional needs are higher and must be met precisely, particularly for protein, energy and calcium. An unbalanced ration may affect development, especially in large-breed puppies.
The daily food quantity will change over the first 12 months. It is also important to adapt the size of the pieces to your puppy.
No. Nova Canis and Nova Felis menus are formulated as complete and balanced foods. They already contain the essential nutrients needed for daily feeding.
Supplements should only be considered in specific cases (medical conditions, particular growth needs, or upon veterinary recommendation).
Packaging and storage ❄️
Maximum 24 hours in the refrigerator after thawing.
To prepare smaller portions, we recommend cutting the trays while they are still frozen upon receipt. Use a serrated knife and a suitable cutting board to cut the desired daily amount.
Then place each portion in a suitable bag and return them to the freezer immediately.
Simply place a portion in the refrigerator 12–24 hours before use for optimal thawing, then serve.
